“Watched Hamlet on telly – bludy borin'”

This entry really made laugh out loud.

Nothing much has changed.

Just as in 1973, I’m still not much of a fan of “the classics”, despite my self-proclaimed “film buff” status.

Hamlet is Shakespeare’s longest play and it must have felt like it to me, despite it’s “danish connections” and the appearance of Sir Larry as the titular Prince.

Trivia buffs may care to be amused by the fact that comedy film “Strange Brew: The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie” is loosely based on Hamlet, the state of Denmark here replaced by “Elsinore Brewery” and Hamlet portrayed as a woman. Now THAT‘s a film I enjoy watching!
