“End of Term (Hooray)!” / “Got Ferteen Xmas Cards” / “Monty Pyfon”

School, as Alice might say, is now Out

I was obviously pleased by this, the telling “Hooray” doubtless the giveaway.

Thank heavens that whilst thirteen is an unlikely number, “firteen” cannot be tarred with the same brush (surely?).

This does seem to suggest that I had thirteen friends at school. Or maybe 13 people who at least knew who the hell I was and wished to acknowledge my seasonal existence on Planet Earth.

Can anyone sense teenage angst?
